You will need:

1 cake mix (to make 2 layers)

2 or 3 eggs (see back of cake mix box)

2 round cake pans (8 or 9 inches)

1 can white frosting

1 small tube chocolate frosting

Directions:

  1. Prepare two cake layers and bake in the round cake pans per instructions on the cake mix box.
  2. Cool cakes thoroughly (for at least 10 minutes), then cut in half and remove from pans.
  3. Place the cake layers on serving plate with the round side up as shown:

  4. With white frosting, frost between each layer and around the sides, front and back.
  5. With tube of chocolate frosting, draw rectangular grid to simulate blocks of ice.
